Search for New Dielectron Resonances and Randall-Sundrum Gravitons at the Collider Detector at Fermilab

ثبت نشده
چکیده

A search for new dielectron mass resonances using data recorded by the CDF II detector and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.7 fb−1 is presented. No significant excess over the expected standard model prediction is observed. In this dataset, an event with the highest dielectron mass ever observed (960 GeV/c) was recorded. The results are interpreted in the Randall-Sundrum (RS) model. Combined with the 5.4 fb−1 diphoton analysis, the RS-graviton mass limit for the coupling k/MPl = 0.1 is 1058 GeV/c , making it the strongest limit to date.

Search for Randall-Sundrum Gravitons in the Diphoton Channel at CDF

We report on a search for new particles in the diphoton channel using a data sample of 5.4 fb−1 of pp̄ collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 1.96 TeV collected using the CDF II detector at the Fermilab Tevatron. The invariant mass spectrum of the data agrees well with the standard model expectation. We set upper limits on the cross section times branching ratio for the Randall-Sundrum gravito...

Testing the Randall-Sundrum Model at a High Energy e−e− Collider

We study the process ee → ee at a high energy ee collider including the effect of graviton exchanges in the warped gravity model of Randall and Sundrum. Discovery limits for gravitons are established and the effects of polarization are discussed.

Search for New Physics in All-Hadronic Final States at CMS

Searches for new physics in hadronic final states are performed using data up to 1 f b −1 collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC at a collsion energy of √ s=7 TeV. No new physics is found and upper limits are set for various models: ADD, unparticle, string resonance, excited quarks, axigluons, Randall-Sundrum gravitons, RPV SUSY gluino, as well as black holes.
